Jonny Polonsky

Jonny finished his Human Sciences at St. Johns College, Oxford in the summer of 2003. He has held a lifelong fascination with Africa, leading him to travel extensively in the continent and spend part of his GAP year teaching in rural Ghana. The study of humanity through our genetic and evolutionary origins, and through anthropological theory and fieldwork, lends a specific interest to East and Northern Africa: the 'cradle of humanity'. Jonny holds a South African passport and intends to work, following a Masters degree in 2005, in the field of disease control in South Africa.

Jonny's role on the trip will include both cycling and extensive camera work. He has had experience with 35mm and digital equipment and hopes to mould the documentary into an entertaining, interesting and informative final product.
