Rob
has recently finished the final year of his four year Classics degree
at St John's, Oxford. He has been involved with similar trips in the
past, however like the rest of us he has never undertaken something
of this scale.
Last
summer he took part in a Trekforce Expedition in the jungles of Borneo,
where he helped build a communications centre from scratch. Moreover,
during the Easter vacation of his third year at St. John's, he cycled
from Geneva to Damascus with a small team. He has also dedicated much
time to charitable causes and will suit this trip perfectly. In December
2002 he carried out a parachute jump from 4,000 feet to raise awareness
and sponsorship for our venture. Rob and Becks plan to attend Medical
School after getting married in the summer of 2004. Rob has brought
valuable cycling experience to the group and also been very active in
securing generous donations from charitable trusts and organisations.
