SponsorshipThere are a number of ways we hope to raise the necessary cash for such a trip. Unfortunately, we cannot find the money for all the expenses of the event ourselves (however much we would like to!), although we do intend to put as much in as we possibly can. Anti Slavery International has allowed us as fundraisers to use a third of the money raised in order to actually embark on (and complete) the bike ride but we hope to use far less. We are crossing our fingers that charitable trusts, local and national companies, individuals, friends and families will decide that our project is a fantastic opportunity to give money to a very worthy charity as well as supporting and encouraging young people to become more involved in voluntary work. It will also be a perfect chance to advertise companies, products and people through both the developed and the developing world. Sponsors have the option of covering the costs of certain aspects of the trip, contributing to one element of the costs, making a straightforward monetary gift or donating equipment to the trip. They will then be publicised through us as the subsiders of the trip in schools, universities, cities and at fundraising events throughout Great Britain both before and after the actual expedition. Whilst en route we also hope to wear clothing of the organisations which have helped the trip become a success.
